Abbie has a photography class this semester and needed to develop a portfolio for it. So, we went downtown. Yes, FAA Authorization was needed for the drone shots… AND, she did not use any of the drone photography because it was a bit too advanced for her class.
We got up early to go shoot the moon over the Salt Lake Temple/State Capitol building... Unfortunatly... the clouds did not cooperate. So, we took advantage of the arrangements we had in place to shoot in downtown Salt Lake City... This is what we got.
These photos were taken as a Hobbyist in 2015. Unless a waiver is received night aerial photography after Civil Twilight or before Civil Dawn is not allowed by the FAA. Drew does have a night waiver for Drone Photography.
